Worthy is the Lamb and Unworthy is "The Passion of The Christ"

The Lord Jesus Christ is not on the cross. He is seated on the right hand of God: After Jesus "had by himself purged our sins," he "sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high." (See Heb. 1:3) The Lord Jesus Christ, who is God, is exalted in heaven at this very moment. It is an awesome truth.

The Bible tells us about the things the Lamb is worthy to receive:

"Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing." (Rev. 5:12)

Do you really believe the Lord Jesus Christ is receiving honor, glory, and blessing in an irreverent Hollywood re-creation of his crucifixion which is designed to be a shocking and even horrifying visual experience?

The Holy Spirit did not inspire even John (the disciple who was especially close to Jesus) to give a graphic account of our Lord's scourging and crucifixion! John's written account documented what the Holy Spirit chose to reveal about this event—and no more.

God did not choose to reveal in his Word the minute details about what happened to Jesus physically during his scourging and crucifixion. He does not want us to seek to have an emotional, worshipful experience based upon someone's imaginings of this sacred event. To do so is to choose to experience God in the midst of extra-biblical, vain imaginations rather than to worship him strictly in truth—within the confines of scripture. (Jn. 4:24). To choose to worship God while making rationalizations for anti-biblical or extra-biblical imaginations is to choose to worship him in deception. God is not mocked and those who do this will accept the spirits that come with deception: seducing spirits.

Mel Gibson "revealed" in his film what God did not choose to reveal in his Word. He poured over every detail involved in the making of this film, from actresses who presently star in lascivious movies, to Satan's pervasive role and eerie music played throughout the film. The demonic music made the film reminiscent of horror rather than of glory. Satan loves violence and gore and this film provides enough of it to kill the Lord Jesus Christ many times over.

The Holy Bible is specific in stating that the hour had come for the Father to glorify his Son that the Son might glorify his Father. (Jn 17:1) The scriptures do not provide gruesome details about Jesus' death, but rather inform us that his death glorified his Father, and that his Father glorified him for his obedience unto death—even the death of the cross. (See Phil. 2:8)

Our Lord Jesus Christ loved us by giving himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour. (Eph. 5:2) It is no wonder that many angels round about the throne and the beasts and the elders are saying with a loud voice, "Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing." (See Rev. 5:11-12) Jesus is worthy to receive all these things!

Our Lord Jesus is not, however, worthy to be marked with darkness. Mel Gibson chose to mark his particular version of "Christ" with antichrist symbolism! He did this by adding to the biblical account about the occurrences in the garden of Gethsemane. Mel had this "Christ" beaten in the face so that his right eye was blackened and swollen shut near the beginning of the movie. This turned him into a "one-eyed Christ" for almost the entire film. Mel also chose to have a completely naked "Jesus" walk out of the tomb, with the camera skimming over his bare backside. These two citations alone mark the film for Satan.

Did Mel Gibson include a gospel presentation at the end of the film? No! The preaching of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing. The movie would not have appealed to the world if the offense of the cross was included. The depiction of a Christ with Antichrist markings undergoing extremely graphic torture with slow-motion scenes of sickening gore is not the preaching of the cross, nor is it offensive to those who despise the Lord Jesus Christ.

Damage control articles written by those who hold leadership positions in the Christian establishment and excuses made for Mel Gibson by media who are in collusion with his agenda will not change that fact.

If this movie was truly having a godly spiritual impact upon the Christian viewers, (as some have stated is the case) the apostate religious establishments would be losing members all across the country. If Christians emerged from this film truly changed and much more appreciative of our Lord Jesus' sacrifice on the cross, they would abandon their lukewarm mammon-driven religious institutions and stop supporting most parachurch ministries in droves. The huge, powerful religious corporations and parachurch ministries, which are largely headed by men who secretly are working toward the merging of the denominations into a One World Church, are not threatened by this film. Instead, they endorse it, as they do all ecumenical devices.

The film, "The Passion of The Christ," is serving the same function as almost every "Christian" book and movie released today: to condition God's people to fall away from the real Christian faith and accept Satan's counterfeit. For this to occur, Christians must be convinced to accept as authentically Christian whatever is being marketed to them in the name of Christ.

note: God did not lead Gary and I to view this film. It is a vain imagination that exalts itself against the knowledge of the real Jesus Christ.

The Holy Spirit convinces men of sin. Of course he does not sin in order to convince men of sin and of course he does not lead Christians into sin in order to prove to themselves or to others that something that is marked by Satan is truly evil. God commands his people to prove all things, but we must not give place to the devil in order to do so.
