Left Behind "Gospel" Leaves
Behind the Only Begotten Son, the Virgin Birth. . . The Real Lord Jesus Christ!
The following indented section is another segment of the "gospel" presentation
that used to be on
the official Left Behind website.
The Plan
"For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who
believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. (John 3:16) In spite of
our sin, God continued to love us and provided the remedy for the sin and death
which mankind brought upon himself and the creation. That remedy was his very
own Son, Jesus Christ, who gave his life for us in order to cleanse us of our
sins and free us from eternal death and punishment. He has always existed, since
the beginning, even before the universe was created. He left his heavenly home
to become a human through the normal biological processes of conception,
gestation and birth. He was not a mere man who through spiritual illumination
realized his full spiritual potential and the divine nature within him. Nor is
he merely an example of the potential that is within each one of us."

Only Begotten Son Missing in
Description of Jesus Christ
Counting the next sentence in this presentation, it is mentioned three times
that Jesus Christ is God's only Son. Did you know that if you are truly a part of the
family of God, then you are a son of God? In fact those who are led of the
Spirit of God are sons of God. Yes, by believing on his name we can become
sons of God. (See John 1:12) Can you see what critically important truth is
"left behind" in this segment?
Jesus is the only begotten Son of God. Jesus came forth from the Father, and
is God. The authors use the New Living Translation to
deny the deity of Jesus Christ. I caught it because I read and believe the King
James Bible and I've read it enough to know how important this word
"begotten" is to establish just who this Jesus Christ really is. Did
you know the Bible says Adam is the son of God? Luke 3:38 The real Christ,
is deity and was begotten of the Father. If you leave out Jesus is the only
begotten Son (fake Bibles do this), you are leaving out the real Jesus and substituting a false
one.
"That remedy was his very own Son, Jesus Christ, who gave his life for us
in order to cleanse us of our sins and free us from eternal death and
punishment."

The Blood of
Jesus Christ--Not Mentioned
Here is the explanation for sin's remedy. What important truth is "left
behind" in this segment? The blood of the Lord Jesus Christ! Without the
shedding of blood there is no remission of sin. Only the REAL Christ of the Holy
Bible laid down his own life and willingly shed his blood for the sins of many.
Again, we have a "Christ" who gave his life but no mention is made of
the blood he shed on the cross: "the blood of Jesus Christ his Son
cleanseth us from all sin."
Also, it is noteworthy that they wrote that Jesus cleansed us from our
sins and freed us from eternal punishment. Yes, Jesus came to cleanse us
from our sins but to also deliver us from the power of Satan unto God (See Acts
26:18). The freedom we gain in salvation is not only from the penalty of
sin, but also from the power of sin in this evil world! "Who gave himself
for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according
to the will of God and our Father:"--Gal. 1:4
Brethren, this is not the Lord Jesus Christ of the Bible being presented here,
but another Christ! Where are the godly men and women who will not have
"respect of persons" or take gifts--meaning you don't care what it
will cost you? If there are any of you out there, and you are willing to help, please
make yourself known. I have written a book and I need help.
Hell Not
Mentioned
Notice again that eternal death and punishment are mentioned, but the author
refrained from stating that the punishment will be a literal burning
in a literal hell. The Lord Jesus Christ warned about hell repeatedly.
A true ambassador of
Christ will do the same!
Let us continue: "He has always existed, since the beginning, even before
the universe was created."
(Quote source: The Plan from

This is good. It implies that
Jesus Christ
is deity. But hold on for the New Age leaven that follows.
The Plan Denies
the Virgin Birth!
"He left his heavenly home to become a human through the normal biological
processes of conception, gestation and birth."
(Quote source: The Plan from
leftbehind.com)
Here we have the denial of the virgin birth of Christ! Since they left out that
Jesus was the only begotten of the Father, it follows that he would
present him as being a mere human, who came to us through the normal biological processes of conception, gestation, and birth. If
you aren't begotten of the Father, then you have a normal human father, don't
you? Never mind what this false "gospel presentation" says, what does the Holy
Bible say?
Joseph initially thought that perhaps normal biological processes were involved as
well:
"Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a
public example, was minded to put her away privily. But while he thought on
these things, behold, the angel of the LORD appeared unto him in a dream,
saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for
that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost."--Matthew 1:19,20
(Quote source: The Plan from
leftbehind.com)
To write of the conception of the Lord Jesus Christ
in a way that denies his miraculous conception is heresy. It is pointing the unbeliever and the biblically
unlearned believer to another Jesus-- another "Christ" who is not
the true Christ at all.
The Plan
Promotes Doctrines of the New Age
Also, let's talk about the "he became a human" part of this statement.
Yes, Jesus Christ was human...and divine. He was all God and all man at the same
time. He "was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without
sin."-Heb. 4:15
Jesus Christ was and is sinless. He is not merely human, but human and
divine.
BUT he did NOT, through spiritual illumination, one day realize the divine
nature within him. The writer of "THE
PLAN" said a mere man realizes the divine nature in him by spiritual
illumination!
Let's continue:
"He was not a mere man who through spiritual illumination
realized his full spiritual potential and the divine nature within
him."
(Quote source: The
Plan from leftbehind.com)
This sentence has been deliberately twisted so that it confuses the reader into
receiving a message unbeknownst to him. Because the sentence is worded "He was not a
mere man" at the outset, it is easy to not realize what they are doing with
the rest of this key sentence. Jesus was not a mere man. Yes, we know he was not a mere
man. But what does a mere man realize? (Keep reading)...a mere man who through
spiritual illumination realized his full spiritual potential and the divine
nature within him. A mere man, realizes his full spiritual potential and
the divine nature within him by spiritual illumination! This is EXACTLY
what the New Age Movement teaches!
The leaders of the NEW AGE movement teach that man realizes his full spiritual potential and the
divine nature within him by what? By spiritual illumination! The New Age movement teaches that divinity is in each one of us, and our
problem is that we need to be illuminated to realize this!
Let's get this straight from a New Age article called "Your
Divine Spark": "
The fundamental principle of the teachings of the
Ascended Masters is that all sons and daughters of God have a divine spark which
is their potential to become, or realize, the Christ within and ascend to God as
Jesus did."
This is what the New Age considers to be man's full
spiritual potential.
The cloak is off, and we can see that The Plan's presentation of Christ does not
fit the real Lord
Jesus Christ of the Holy Bible. This is another gospel-- a New Age
gospel, thinly disguised in semi-Christian jargon.
Let's look at the last sentence in this segment:
"Nor is he merely an example of the potential that is within each one of
us."
(Quote source: The Plan from
leftbehind.com)
The Lord Jesus Christ, who is King of Kings and Lord of Lords, is an example of the
potential that is within each one of us? How absurd and demeaning to
the person of the Lord Jesus Christ! But remember, the writer of this
presentation is not really referring to the Jesus Christ of the Holy Bible.
The "Christ" he is testifying of is a supernatural being (he existed
at the beginning) that was not begotten of the Father, did not shed
his blood on the cross for our sins and was not born of a virgin. He is
another "Christ"--supernatural, but not the unique, begotten,
virgin born Son of God...the Lord Jesus Christ of the Holy Bible!
This "Christ" The Plan is referring to is a man who realized his
divinity by spiritual illumination. Furthermore, the spiritual potential in
this New Age "Christ" can be realized by man as well!
This is New Age teaching AND New Age jargon. Remember, Satan said to Eve, "ye shall be as
gods"--Genesis 3:5 Satan's goal from the beginning has been to beguile
mankind into thinking they can be as gods, and you can be certain that any
"gospel" presentation that teaches the same is not from
God.
