The DEFINED King James Bible Covers For Satan
— the Tempter
The Bible For Today sometimes omits definitions of words
in their DEFINED King James Bible
where they appear in passages that particularly expose Satan's wicked devices.
For example, take a look at the word, "tempted." The
Bible For Today defines this word throughout their DEFINED King James Bible as
"tested, put to the test." They defined "tempted of" as "tested by,
tried by."
However, The DEFINED King James Bible does NOT define "tempt" or "tempted" in verses that refer
directly or indirectly to Satan tempting man to do evil.
In fact, The DEFINED King James Bible
never informs the reader that "tempt"
also means to entice someone to sin
against God.
Verses in the DEFINED King James Bible that
do not have "tempt" in bold and do not define it:
Defraud ye not one the other, except it be with consent for a
time, that ye may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together
again, that Satan tempt you not for your incontinency. (1 Cor. 7:5)
[1 Corinthians 7:5 exposes Satan as the one who entices God's
people to disobey God!]
They were stoned, they were sawn asunder, were tempted, were
slain with the sword: they wandered about in sheepskins and goatskins; being
destitute, afflicted, tormented; (Hebrews 11:37)
[Hebrews 11:37 reveals a number of ways in which God's precious
saints were persecuted, including being tempted to sin.]
For this cause, when I could no longer forbear, I sent to
know your faith, lest by some means the tempter have tempted you, and our labour
be in vain. (1 Thess. 3:5)
[Notice how 1 Thessalonians 3:5 zeroes in on the Tempter's (Satan's) evil
agenda to influence Christians to sin.]
Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for
God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man: (James 1:13)
[James 1:13 teaches us that God does not tempt any man with
evil. The implication is that Satan tempts man with evil.]
But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own
lust, and enticed. (James 1:14)
[Every man is tempted (enticed to do evil) when he is drawn
away of his own lust.]
Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are
spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself,
lest thou also be tempted. (Gal. 6:1)
[This verse tells us to restore a man in the spirit of
meekness lest we be tempted (to fall into sin) as well.]
The Bible For Today also defrauded the reader of the biblical
meaning of the word, "tempt" where the Bible teaches us that Satan
tempted Jesus
