It is incumbent upon all Christians that we revere
our Saviour to the highest. In the Old Testament the pre-incarnate Christ was
known as 'the Son of God' (Daniel 3:25), but now, and especially since the sermon
that the apostle Peter preached on the day of Pentecost, He is known as 'the
Lord Jesus Christ.'
'Therefore let all the house of Israel know
assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both
Lord and Christ' (Acts 2:36)
Not just 'Jesus,' for there is another Jesus.
(2 Cor. 11:4) Not just 'Christ' for there are false Christs. (Matt. 24:24)
Not just 'Lord,' for there are many lords. (1 Cor. 8:5) But there is only one
'Lord Jesus Christ'!! (1 Cor. 8:6) Therefore, since Peter declared that
'God hath made this same Jesus both Lord and Christ,' we should refer to our
Saviour and address Him in prayer by his full name and title.
Satan has fractured (using parts of His name
and title) the full name and title of our Saviour into 'Jesus' or "Christ'
or 'Lord' and even caused New Bible translators to confuse the Lord Jesus Christ
with Satan (where he assumes the title of 'Morning Star' in Isaiah 14:12.)
Although the world system and the pseudo
Christian establishment uses the full name and title of the Lord Jesus Christ at
times for recognition and/or credibility, they are reluctant to do so because men
know innately that addressing 'Jesus as Lord' is acknowledging a willingness to
submit to Him.
Even though this reluctance is true of the
world, we as Christians should use the full name and title of the Lord Jesus
Christ often, if not always.
He is Lord of all!! Have you made the Lord
Jesus Christ 'Lord' of your personal life?!!

Lisa's comments: The Bible contains many verses in
which the words, "Jesus," "Christ," or "Lord," do
not appear together and form the title, The Lord Jesus Christ. The fact that
these words were inspired by the Holy Ghost and written in His Holy book, the
King James Bible, gives us perfect confidence that they do not refer to any other Jesus,
Christ or Lord other than the Lord Jesus Christ unless specifically indicated.

The article, "Jesus: Both Lord and
Christ" addresses the modern trend
to remove the title of the Lord Jesus Christ from new "Bible"
translations, Christian writing, Christian
music, sermons, etc. The removal of the title of the Lord Jesus Christ—"the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord
of lords"—is conditioning the church for the apostasy. (1
Tim. 6:15)
Many false teachers come in the
name of Jesus and preach about Christ, but they do not preach about the
Lord Jesus Christ. They preach another Christ and another Jesus,
who is another lord. Their preaching exalts an ecumenical Christ of unconditional
love who winks at sin and excuses all manner of evil and worldliness in the name
of grace and unity. This New Age Savior is often referred to as "Christ,"
"Jesus," "Lord" or even "the Lord Jesus Christ" in congregations all over the
world; and yet, he cannot
save.
The real Lord Jesus Christ is holy and His
true followers follow Him without compromise:
Follow peace with all men, and holiness,
without which no man shall see the Lord: Heb. 12:14
Go not after
false Christs, and avoid men who preach another Christ:
And he said, Take heed that ye be not
deceived: for many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and the time
draweth near: go ye not therefore after them. Luke 21:8
